Video Surveillance is changing the world today!

Find Security Camera and Video Surveillance Resources at My Video Surveillance

Over the past five or six decades, our society has changed drastically. Where we used to play in the yards and streets of our neighborhood, we now have privacy fences to hide behind. Leaving your door unlocked and windows open at night has been replaced by locks and chains; no longer do we leave a key under the mat incase we get locked out.

This increased need for security has been confronted with video surveillance. Beginning with a simple Closed Circuit Television system in the 1940s, security monitoring has escalated in technology and popularity by a great deal. We now have video surveillance or cameras monitoring nearly our every move, documenting and securing each area in which we live our lives. This added surveillance has provided security and peace of mind for several generations. As the populous grows, so will the need for security; as the need for security rises, so will new technologies to meet it.

Security video surveillance is stepping out of the workplace, onto the streets, and into our homes. Video monitoring systems are a part of our office buildings, churches, markets, streets and home security systems. A growing population has the desire to add video surveillance cameras to their various security systems, but it can be difficult to decipher all the information needed to build the proper Closed Circuit Television (a group of cameras directed to a specific group of monitors) system for your situation. That is why we’ve sifted through the jargon and pieced together a foundation for you to begin building your security system.

Ideally, we’d all like to travel back in time to a safer generation. Though technology hasn’t yet given us that ability, it has begun making our generation a little safer; one camera at a time.
